Looking for Breakfast Solutions for your Fussy Eaters?

Working on extending the child's food selection can take time. At mealtimes, they would need to continue to have their favourite food in front of them. The first step is to introduce your child to new foods. The key is to encourage eating a selection of breakfast foods for other family members as well instead of the same one each day, children copy what adults around them do. This is in contrast to the belief that children listen to what parents instruct them to do. We prefer to divide foods into dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After all, you should change it up a little. There's no need to be the food police!

If you have an extremely picky or nervous eater, they are unlikely to instantly change their eating habits simply by being introduced to a new meal. By thinking creatively about food storage, you will minimise food wastage. The night before, think about breakfast and prepare what you are going to eat. It will save you time and encourage you to have some shared breakfast times when you store food and reduce washing up when you are feeding your fussy eater.

Wrapping Up

Hopefully, you now feel confident to start rotating some of those dishes. You can ramp them up, or simplify them slightly to support or challenge your fussy eating toddler. If you are struggling, is it time you had a plan? Here you can book a 15min assessment of your child fussy eating with Marie-France.
