Supporting Autistic Kids Through Healthy Eating Habits

Having a proper nutrition intake is essential for all children, but it can be particularly challenging for parents of autistic children. Autism affects children's brain development, resulting in peculiar food preferences or limited food intake. As a result, autistic kids may have a low intake of daily recommended nutrients, leading to long-term consequences.

At Fussy Eater, we understand the frustration and anxiety of feeding your autistic child and have designed a Fussy Eater Intensive Program to introduce your child to the nutritious foods they need to develop in the best way possible. Our individually customised program is designed to support you in your endeavours to raise a healthy child and provide guidance on how to successfully introduce your ASD child to the nutritious foods they need to consume.

Our certified dietitians work closely with parents in a holistic manner to understand the dynamics of the family environment and assess the child's fussy eating behaviour to develop a tailored plan. Ideally held during lunch or dinner time, depending on your child's age, our 10 to 12 weekly sessions aim to cover a wide range of foods to improve your child's lifelong relationship with food.

Fussy Eater Solution is not an NDIS provider, but we support and assist parents who are self-managing their funds and choose to work with us. Contact us today to arrange a consultation, and we'll work with you to ensure your autistic child is getting the nutrition they need to live a happy and healthy life!
